One thing I've always thought was neat about DAoC was that in order to properly play a class correctly, you needed a modicum of knowledge about your skills and how they're best applied against those you're fighting.

This was aptly demonstrated when I attempted to play some of Carl's characters.

Carl's my guildmate in Blackspire, as well as a good friend. So when he offered me the chance to get back into DAoC on one of his accounts, I was all over it. This probably frightened Carl quite badly, as I'm sure he was just making the offer to say something nice to the neurotic fat man, but let that be a lesson to him. I promptly pounced upon his offer and have been running rather amok with several of his much-loved characters.
