Ubisoft has made a brief preview of the culmination of the Myst story available to whet the appetite of the armies of Myst players. Myst 5 will be available on both the Macintosh and PC, but make sure you've got a beefy machine before you run out and get it.

In the preview, we meet a CGI character named Esher in Direbo, the Age of Resting. (I made a guess that his name was Esher from the name at the top of the journal pages.) His accent makes understanding him a bit difficult, but his dialog is written in the journal which you access by hitting the Esc key. The handwriting was a little hard to read, too, but then this guy was all alone and may never have expected anyone to listen to him or read his journal.
