Here's the news straight from Games Press:Headfirst Productions revealed today its plans for the development of its exclusively licensed Call of Cthulhu brand across all platforms.
The eagerly anticipated "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" is due for release Q3/Q4 2003 on both Xbox and PC formats. Production of the game is now at full pace and Headfirst are in a position to discuss this exciting franchise with potential partners.
Headfirst are also planning an exclusive PS2 game "Call of Cthulhu: Tainted Legacy" for release during Q4 2004. This new game not only remains true to the style treasured by Lovecraft's countless fans, but also brings to the world's most successful video game platform a truly unique and exhilarating game play experience.
The excitement being generated around the development of "Dark Corners of the Earth" has encouraged Headfirst to start work on the sequel, entitled "Beyond the Mountains of Madness", scheduled for release on Xbox and PC for Q4 2004 with a further exclusive PS2 game for Xmas 2005.

Mike Woodroffe, Headfirst's Managing Director, said "We are really excited about the long term prospects for the Call of Cthulhu franchise, especially now that Dreamworks have announced their up coming film based on the H. P. Lovecraft short story 'At the Mountains of Madness' which is to be directed by Guillermo del Toro of Blade 2 and Hellboy fame."
"Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" is an eagerly anticipated first-person horror adventure based on the award winning RPG from Chaosium that in turn is based on the writings of the acclaimed American horror author H.
