TenTonHammer has kicked up a review of 'Sid Meier's Pirates!'. The score is 4/5 and here's an excerpt:
Sid Meier’s Pirates! isn’t a newcomer to the gaming scene, despite having just released a few days prior to this review. This game has a long lineage, right back to the original Pirates! by Sid that I enjoyed on my Commodore 64 and Pirates! Gold that I played off a floppy disk on my first 286, many, many moons ago. Has it really been 17 years since the original? Yar! That be a long time, for sure! By the end of this review, we’ll see if the Pirates! concept has stood the test of time (to borrow a tagline from another famous Sid Meier game of yesteryear).
