Experience Gaming has posted an interview with Maxim Mikhalev, from Buka's International Sales department. It's a general interview but included here because of their connection with games like 'Battle Mages'. Here's a clip a few of you will relate to:
XG: How do you see the gaming industry as a whole? What are the current gaming trends you noticed?

MM: The gaming industry is getting more and more mature. This is a fact which no one can ignore. We see that this industry as being more dominated by traditional business boys, rather that by garage-type eccentrics, latter being the case, say, 10 years ago. For gamers, this means more mass-market games, lots of marketing and fewer unexpected surprises. This tendency can be noticed in games themselves as well. More and more games are aimed at casual gamers and tend to emphasize more on graphics and nice box, than on the actual gameplay. I’m probably getting too old and grouchy.
