Role play is driven by drama and focuses on playing a character's personality, taking into account that character's race, class, age, personal history, family background, likes, dislikes, habits, and anything relevant to the way in which that character should behave. The most important consideration in role play is perhaps that character's alignment. In many modules, players can be rewarded for playing in a manner that runs congruent with their character's alignment. Penalties can also be applied for the converse.
