Our reader Smorri discovered a new post-apoc action/RPG titled Winterheart's Guild. There isn't a lot of detail on the game mechanics but the first-person screens look fairly advanced. Here's the intro information:
Winterheart’s Guild is a futuristic action-RPG game, in developement by Zelian Games, in collaboration with Sonata Arctica and Inferi.

The game is set unknown number of years after the annihilation of the world. No-one is certain what caused the destruction. Stories of fire raining from the sky have been passed from one generation to the next. Others say the fire did not come from the sky, but from the earth itself.

Background

After the cataclysm, Earth’s population was diminished to a fraction of what it used to be. The planet was covered in snow and ice and resources were scarce, making survival extremely difficult.

Before long, several opposing factions started to emerge: the Dark Mages, the Technomancers and the Slavers, among others. Those who did not join the rising factions became known simply as "The Free". These people chose a simple way of life, and attempted to live in peace and harmony with others.

In and attempt to keep the peace and to stop any faction from gaining absolute power, Winterheart’s Guild was formed - a group of heroes and leaders from the The Free. They became the enforcers of the unwritten laws of the free people.
The forums have some info, describing the gameplay as "Diablo meets Fallout".
