The third feature at RPGVault today is a Glympse interview with David Cerra from Sojourn Entertainment. Here's a question and the answer:
Jonric: What would you list as the primary influences that have impacted the concept and design? And what will the game offer that's fresh and different compared to the many other fantasy-based online worlds?

David Cerra: I would guess that, in the most direct sense, the largest influence on Glympse would be the grand legacy of pencil and paper RPGs. When you sit down with a good group of gamers to play a traditional role-playing game, what the game developers have provided you with is a set of tools through which to ascertain the ramifications of your actions. The GM is there to make sure that you don't fudge on those ramifications... and to mercilessly lead you and your group into one horrendous situation after another. :) Our goals with Glympse fall along these lines. Our intent is to create a fantastic world rife with conflict, and to plunge the player into the middle of it. It's up to them to choose their course of action. We're just here to create the world and the systems which govern it behind the scenes, and to help drive the story in such a way as to plunge the players into the aforementioned horrible situations. ;-)
