RPG Vault has posted the third part of their 'Dungeon Siege II' Team Q&A. Here's an excerpt:Jonric: What are some of the locations you particularly enjoy visiting in the gameworld, and why does each appeal to you?
Bert Bingham, Associate Producer: There is a particularly serene cavern, fairly far into the game, called the Kalrathian Nexus. This area doesn't actually have any creatures to fight, but it clearly has seen a lot of love by our level designers. A combination of the really nice music piece created by Jeremy Soule and the gorgeous ambient sounds actually made me sigh out loud when I arrived.
The other area I remember very vividly was a series of unlocking tombs in the desert that had some floor puzzles to access deeper chambers. I recall seeing a "Reset Keystone" at the far end of the room, and laughing because the first puzzle was so obviously simple that I would have to be a moron to need it. To make a long story short, I had to use that stupid reset keystone six times before I got it right, cursing under my breath every time at the devilish designer that had come up with such a simple-looking trap. |
