Unknown Player has posted a chat log of the Anarchy Online chat that took place yesterday (story). It answers many questions that drove the AO community, such as this one ([gaute] is Gaute Godager, the Game Director on Anarchy Online):
[UnknownPlayer] [Sarelron] How will larger guilds with higher-level people be kept from destroying lower level or smaller guilds. I.e., will guild size and average level play into a limiting factor on which guilds can attack which?
[gaute] We are trying to balance it so that the number of areas controlled is based on the size of your organization and the skill of your members.
[gaute] But, there will be a "cap" on what you can control! There won’t be one "über" guild raging through the landscapes, keeping everyone else down.
[gaute] We also hope to balance it so that defense is easier than attack, but just to make it sure:
[gaute] We cannot protect the weak against the strong 100% that would mean taking the choice away from the players! |
