The first Horizons Developer Diary has been posted at Gamespy today. Game designer Shawn F. Carnes tells you about one week in his life:
The main area that Adrian and I (along with some people who get involved in the discussion that sit around us) hash out is how techniques function with other techniques. The main concerns we hammer out are the permissions of stacking one technique with another similar technique in the same item. The result that everyone thinks is the best course to pursue is that techniques will not stack. This will lessen balance worries, something that I have to admit will be a concern for me when the techniques start to appear in "SimDoc." Stacking will be controlled via the keyword system we will associate with the techniques; a technique that has the keyword of strength, for example, won't be able to be applied to an item with another strength-keyworded technique already present.
