In just over a year, the online world of Final Fantasy XI has ratcheted up a total of 500,000 online gamers. Every new add-on or market that's been opened up to the game has swelled the ranks even further. On the PS2, the game has only been out for less than two months and players have been getting their massively multiplayer groove on, but that doesn't mean that there can't be greater heights to look forward to. With the fall release of Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia, that's going to happen in the not-too-distant future.
