    Luck
What I meant was something along the lines of what you are talking about with luck affecting magic (it probably won't be directly in the formula, but luck could some effect on magic). I believe that fortune is a derived attribute of luck and is applied to almost every roll, we are looking into using something like that as a general modifier for magic.
Also what I meant by high luck...I believe Mr. Parker mentioned to me that Fallout might have had a special table of encounters for characters with very high luck. Something akin to this is possible, but not necessarily just for luck..

    Bartering
Barter system is up in the air at the moment, but is not in. It is something we are considering.

    Currency
We've been talking about using real money for the period to maintain the atmosphere of the era. We're not planning on having banks, mules, or money with weight right now. Although this is more realistic, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's fun. One of the main reasons for banks is to store your money when it has weight - if you remove the weight from the coins the banks and pack animals are not needed as much. Also, banks detract a bit from the importance of your encumberance. You can get away with having a low low encumberance if you're patient and make frequent trips to the bank. If we use different currencies, merchants will likely convert your money for you during transactions.

    Death
If you die, well you're dead. Since there is no party, there is usually not a person around that cares that you are dead, since whatever put you in that state prefers that you stay that way. It's possible that we might have a friendly NPC (if one is with you )attempt to heal/raise you if the NPC has such power. So right now, dead is dead.

    Random Encounters
Yes there will be interesting random encounters. I myself never bumped up my luck so high, but I've been told in Fallout that high luck characters could find special encounters. We are interested in designing these kinds of things (and possibly some encounters that might be initiated depending on your reputation with a faction).

    Presentation of King Lionheart
The Richard we depict in Lionheart is more or less the historically accurate figure. Take our backstory for example, a critical catalyst for the Disjunction was the blood sacrifice of 3,000 Muslim prisoners at Acre by Richard. This was based on a real event, one in which Richard killed Muslim prisoners to punish Saladin after the full tribute (including a prisoner exchance) for the surrender of Acre was not paid. We also depict Saladin historically, and from what we understand from the history books, the Muslim leader was a fairly honorable man. There is a mention during a battle where Richard's horse was killed, Saladin, who respected Richard greatly, sent Richard a fresh horse so that he could continue warring with honor. I built on that mutual respect and made them allies when the Disjunction occurred.

Of course, Lionheart is a work of fiction, so there are some historical elements, and invented ones..

    Selectable portraits?
Yes, we're creating portraits for you to choose from, several for each race and gender. I imagine we'll start releasing several of them in the near future. We're also creating potraits for a good number of npc characters when you encounter them in dialogue. You will be able to see the portrait in the character page, but probably not on the main screen.
