A detailed preview of Enlight's action/strategy RPG 'Joan of Arc' can be found over at The Wargamer today.
The story of the heroine of French Medieval times, Joan of Arc, is certainly well known amongst the general public: instructed by the angels of God, the French peasant goes to the besieged King of France, Charles VII, to inform him that he would be victorious over the invading English if she were given an army to lead. Despite past losses and unlikely odds, Joan led the French armies who vanquished the English back across the Channel, and crowned Charles as the King of France.

These historical events provide the backdrop for Wars & Warriors: Joan of Arc, an innovative game which mixes action and real-time strategy elements. Created by Enlight Software and its veteran designer Trevor Chan (Capitalism, Seven Kingdoms), Joan of Arc is the latest entry in the crowded field of historical period strategy games. Fortunately for this game, it looks to offer enough unique new features and gameplay elements to make it stand out from other contenders.
