Next Level Gaming has written a review of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for XBox. Their rating is 5/6, and here they discuss the difference between the XBox version and the one for PS2:
Ok, so you've already played the PS2 version, and now you want to know what makes this version so different? Well, the Playstation 2 version was built around the hardware, and was very impressive looking and playing. The difference between this and the Xbox version may not be so noticable right off the bat. The soundtrack is the same, the gameplay is the same, the levels are the same. But because the Xbox is a more powerful system than the PS2, Black Isle Studios was able to increase the amount of polygons in each character to anywhere between 2,000 and 20,000. This means the level of detail in each model is remarkable. Also, the Xbox is capable of some incredible envirnmental effects, including much better looking water effects, burning torches, and lighting. And as you can see in most Xbox games, the anti-aliasing will make the game look much smoother, with almost no "jaggies" to speak of. Also in the sound department, thanks to the power of the Xbox Dolby Digital abilities, you can hear exactly where each monster is coming from. Keep in mind until this point, I had NOT played the PS2 version. I had to go into the NLG library and pull it out to see the differences. If you look, they are there.
