Perhaps that red font at Game Vortex gives everything a rosy glow with their review of Blade & Sword going against the tide and awarding a score of 9/10:
B&S uses a locked isometric camera similar to a lot of RPG's, and the maps are huge with a lot of attention to detail. My first thought in seeing this game was that it was tile-based, which made me laugh. That was before I actually looked at the scenes in front of me. The amount of time put into the artwork and design of each level is amazing. This, plus the great looking weather and day/night effects, made a really good impression on me graphics wise. Though Blade & Sword isn't necessarily a system pusher, what it does is impressive.
