Following on the heels of my August 24th report that The Adventure Company (TAC) had signed on Lee Sheldon to write and design it's first Agatha Christie adventure game comes this "Official" affirmation of the same on August 25th...

(Toronto, Ontario) August 25th, 2004 – The Adventure Company*, the industry’s leading adventure game publisher, today confirmed that the first title in its newly licensed series based on the novels of legendary novelist Agatha Christie will be written and designed by Lee Sheldon.

A mystery aficionado, Sheldon has made a major contribution to the adventure genre, with contributions in URU: Ages Beyond Myst®, Wild Wild West: The Steel Assassin and Ripley's Believe It or Not!® : The Riddle of Master Lu. His television credits include Murder She Wrote®, Quincy, ME, Charlie’s Angels® and Star Trek: The Next Generation®.

“Lee is an extraordinary talent,” said Richard Wah Kan, CEO of The Adventure Company. “Capturing the original essence and suspense of a Christie novel will be quite a challenge, but we’re confident that we’ve sleuthed out the right man for the job.”

Over the next six years, The Adventure Company will release five PC games adapted from Agatha Christie novels as part of a global deal with Chorion PLC (LSE: COR), the owner, developer and manager of branded entertainment content. The development team, along with the first novel chosen for adaptation, will be announced in September. The first title will be available at retail in fall of 2005.
