For you Mac freaks out there: Icewind Dale for Mac has gone gold, and MacGamer celebrates that day with some goodies at their site:
Today MacGamer ushers in MacPlay's new role playing adventure by declaring it "Icewind Dale Day". We give readers a whole lot of frozen RPG goodness: Our Giveaways column offers a copy to this week's winner, we re-launch our Desktops department with a beautiful Icewind Dale desktop, we feature an IWD Post-Mortem from Chris Jacobson - programmer behind the Mac version, and we even offer a new deal on Icewind Dale in the MacGamer store. If you're the kind of person who likes a killer RPG, today is a good day to be visiting MacGamer. Take a look at the links below...
Amonngst their goodies is a IWD Post Mortem with Chris Jacobson, and here's a bit from that, too:
Work on Icewind Dale started in November, while I was still an employee of Mumbo Jumbo. I had just finished up working on Myth 3 prior to that. Icewind Dale was my only project at the time, but once it went into beta I had plenty of free time to work on other projects.

My work with Icewind Dale finished March 1st when the last build was sent off for Release Candidate; and that build was declared Golden Master a week later. Afterwards I moved on to my next project - I'm a workaholic! I even work while I play Dark Age of Camelot. I've also been indulging in increasingly larger games of Mage Knight with fellow coworkers Scott Campbell and Kyle Shubel.
