WarCraft III will include some RPG aspects, principally in the form of Heroes. Each army will have four characters to choose from, each with different special abilities and statistics. We got a chance to look at a pair of Orc heroes, one shaman and one warrior, as well as a Night Elf warrior, a centaur. Heroes will possess a variety of magical abilities, and will level up based on combat experience. As they level up, they will gain additional powers from a set of predetermined choices. Heroes will also be able to use various artifacts they find or purchase to enhance their powers.
