Tiscali Games sent us a press release announcing the successful launch of BiosFear's open-beta. Here's the text:
BiosFear’s English version started with a bang + more that 10,000 registered users within two weeks after launch of open beta + more than 40 guilds activated with 8+ members within 48 hours after launch of guild system + number of concurrent users about to touch 1,000 at peak times

New features introduced: live 24/7 ranking system + number of players currently online displayed on website + second game server opened today
There's also an upcoming in-game event for Thursday:
Life as we know it in BiosFear is in jeopardy as rumours of war have reached our lands and we are ill prepared to emerge victorious.

Castle Boldin has been overrun by the first wave of an invasion force and must be recaptured at all costs.

Retaliations will commence on Thursday, 15.01.2004 at 22:00 CET (21:00 GMT) in Shilon Fields to test our readiness against further attacks. Only with the immense firepower which guild leaders can muster do we stand a chance of retaking the castle.

So Guild Leaders go now, gather your warriors and plan your tactics as it is expected more than 500 warriors will be fighting for our cause and yet, only one guild can emerge victorious. Regretfully, many of you will die and we offer our thanks to those who
lay down their lives so that others may survive.

We shall see you at the dying grounds.
Head to the BiosFear site for more info or to sign up.
