The Call of Cthulhu license, made famous by Chaosium, has had awful luck in the digital realm. Earlier computer games were slow, small-potato affairs. By contrast, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is a big, meaty, bubbling stew of mood, action, and dread. Never mind the stuff bobbing around in the broth that you can't quite identify. "The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be." This fall, vote Cthulhu -- why settle for the lesser evil?
