No, it's not a mistake - EDBIS has taken the release of Legends of Aranna as an opportunity to do a review of Dungeon Siege. The score is 75% and here's a snip:
The nitty-gritty of any dungeon crawl is the combat. (You can forget about plot or character in this one.) And here's where Dungeon Siege makes a living. How, I couldn't tell you. The very beginning of the game does offer some challenge and a decision: do you want to be a fighter, archer, nature mage or combat mage, or do you want to forgo specialization for flexibility? How you play decides this point. But once you get a few allies and some good items, you can pretty much let the game play itself. You have to decide which spells to use and when to heal, and sometimes enemies need to be approached carefully. That's about it. There were times when my party killed enemies I never even got the chance to see. And yet it's still fun. It's not a game to keep you up all night, but it is a game that can bring you back for more the next day. Maybe that's because the battles are fast and they just keep coming, and giving you the reward of having won something just about every minute.
