A Player-Kit is needed if you want to play German or English mods. Please download only the version you need from the Gamesweb.com FTP server, to save bandwidth. GOTHIC MOD Player-Kit 1.08h (German only); the most common German patched version GOTHIC MOD Player-Kit 1.08j (German/English; standard English release version GOTHIC MOD Player-Kit 1.08k (German/English); patched English version The version is displayed in the lower right corner in various in-game dialogs. To install doubleclick on the .exe, browse to your Gothic folder and accept the usual disclaimer (not supported by Piranha Bytes, no commercial use, blabla...). The installer will create a shortcut to GothicStarter.exe on your desktop. Start all mods and even Gothic(!) through GothicStarter.exe once the Player-Kit is installed. Alistair´s mod "VisiGothic" is not yet compatible with the Player-Kit, but it´s very likely that it will be repackaged in a few days. Of course we will keep you up to date. :-) edit: if you have download problems try it from the World of Gothic.de forums. A repackaged version of VisiGothic is ready. We´ll tell when we find a reliable download location.
