This just in from the 'Auto Assault' team...
Greetings from the Central Wastelands!

The Auto Assault team is kicking it into high gear, getting ready for E3, making plans for a pre-sale package and preparing to send out the first round of beta invitations. Though we aren’t able to release any details about any of that right now, here’s some news we can share.

April is “Spring-Loaded Action!” month on the official Auto Assault site (http://www.autoassault.com) and each week, we’ll be introducing a new wallpaper design featuring one of the awesome weapons you can acquire. This week, we’re showcasing the Maverick Tricannon, which you can download here: http://www.autoassault.com/downloads/wallpaper.html. Due to popular demand, we’ve also made the faction logos available for download in our Website Kits section - http://www.autoassault.com/community/website_kits.html - and added a FAQ, available at http://www.autoassault.com/community/aa_faq.html. Last but not least, the Recon section (http://www.autoassault.com/recon/) has been updated to include an overview of two classes: the Human Engineer and the Biomek MasterMind.

GameSpot is continuing their Auto Assault coverage of the player factions. Check out the new trailer featuring the vehicles and abilities of the Biomeks, http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/autoassault/preview_6121748.html.

Also available for your reading pleasure, interviews with Scott “Scorch” Brown, Auto Assault project lead, can be found at:

- Boulder Weekly, about the ever-growing MMO genre: http://www.boulderweekly.com/archive/033105/coverstory.html

- OnRPG, about missions and what sets Auto Assault apart from other MMOs: http://www.onrpg.com/article356.html

As mentioned above, it won’t be long before we start sending out the first wave of invitations for beta, so if you haven’t signed up yet, get the lead out and register here: http://www.plaync.com/aa_beta.html.
