A decent game that has a lot of replay value. The music is decent but gets annoying after a while (but you can turn that off). The graphics when on the sea are good, in town even better. However, I did find a bit of a downside, you should have the option to disable the aging and retirement features. I managed in my first quest to complete all but the hidden city, romance, family and villian quests. I noticed that once you find the 10 buried treasures there doesn't seem to be anymore to find. Becoming the #1 pirate was fun, but once I managed that he was in poor health and I had to retire him. I found all 18 special items and killed the top 9 pirates to become #1. As for control, the fighting sequences could have been more of a 3d fighting style like Dead or Alive. As for the dancing portion....that's just plain weird.... |

Nice game for young and old gamers, experienced gamers should begin with a higher difficulty setting.
Game mechanics are well balanced (like a board game) - with some simple rules you can do whatever you want in the old Caribbean Sea. |

I have not stoped playing it for a couple of days now. The crew started to piss me off on the hard level their not happy no matter how mush gold you've got and they want there cut after 6 mouths, which makes you old faster. I had to retire at 32 and not much to show for it bar #1 pirate on the sea and a engish Duke. I started again on the easy level and I did more in 6 mouths then I could in 2 year, whats with that. I know you get jack in the cut but who gives a stuff just go after two ships and get 1 to 2k each. |
