GameOver has spent some time with Lords of EverQuest and posted this preview:The building queue here is less aggressive. The population numbers are fewer and there is less emphasis on micromanaging the economy at home. The emphasis is on using the disparate number of units to form a cohesive fighting force and concentrate on improving individual units so that you don’t have to resort to an assembly line factory to fill in reinforcements. That said, you’ll notice that the camera is closer to the units than say an epic like Rise of Nations. The maximum number of units in a group is fewer, forcing you to develop some tactics instead of selecting everything on screen and sending them over to the general vicinity of the enemy. |
