ActionTrip has jacked up some first impressions from Warcraft III. It seems like they were very pleased with what Blizzard put together so far.

Here's a teaser:
And while we're on the subject of eye-candy, if you think you've seen it all in the multiplayer, baby you ain't seen nothing yet! Hats off to the Blizzard art crew. They're hands-down the best in the business! No one - and I mean no one - can rival the sheer artistic quality of the Warcraft III maps, units and structures. This isn't the most advanced 3D code I've ever seen, but it sure is pretty! The maps are so different and so varied that you'll never get bored with the settings. And as for the units, well, the screenshots can speak for themselves. In terms of art quality, the graphics are on a par with Marvel's work, and if I was to make any comparisons I'd say that Warcraft III is to games what The Lord of the Rings is to Hollywood movies. I know, a bold statement. But, we're talking about pure artistic (unique) value of the design, and by God, Blizzard's latest work's got plenty of that.
