A hands-on preview of EverQuest II that sounds quite promising, has been posted at Gamespy. Here's a clip:The first way you'll be able to build up your character in EverQuest II is the way most familiar to online roleplayers: venturing out, completing quests, killing monsters, and gaining experience points. You'll learn new skills and gain better equipment over time. Nothing new there. But where EverQuest II differs from its predecessor is in its scope: instead of supporting massive groups, most of the game's missions are designed to be explored by a small party of about 6 players. EQ2 has a smaller, more intimate feel, more like tabletop roleplaying games centered on small parties. |
