Ryan Bond, tester for Star Wars Galaxies, has written a diary for IGN in which he describes a day in his life:
I choose a Zabrak female, hit the Randomize button a couple times until I have a tall, pale character with a determined-looking face. I choose Naboo as a start location, Theed. My plan for the day is to run though some Scout advancement; the country surrounding Theed is rich with varied fauna, good for my Creature Knowledge training. A few scans back and forth of the loading peg and I'm in Theed, surrounded by arches and tall buildings, bustling NPC's, and beta testers.

I group up with a Brawler named Ixassla, a stout-looking Trandoshan. I explain to him, as we cross a bridge into the nearby hills that I'm looking to work on my Creature Harvesting skills. That sounds fine by him; he'll work on his hand-to-hand and let me practice cleaning the corpses for meat, hide, and bone-- which we'll trade to some crafters for food buffs later.

Ixassla and I find a wandering herd of Kaadu, grazing in the hills just outside of town. A couple of them are Domestic Kaadu -- which means that while they are probably tolerated by the wild Kaadus, they won't necessarily be protected by them. Ixassla pulls a CDEF Pistol and takes a few shots at one of them from range... finally he hits it and the beast charges us. But, as we expected, the rest of the herd disregards the Domestic Kaadu's plight, and instead moves off a ways, startled by the action.
