Another bad score for Lords of EverQuest with EGCore's review awarding a score of 5.33/10. Here's a snippet:
Overall, Lords of EverQuest is a fairly average Real Time Strategy game. It has some new elements to it, but these new elements are overshadowed by the absolutely horrible unit artificial intelligence, which only serves to make the game far less enjoyable and playable. The graphics are fairly average except for the spell effects which are very well done, and the sound is adequate. Lords of EverQuest is a game that may appeal to an EverQuest fan, but probably only when the servers are down and there is nothing else to do. What may end up selling this game is the EverQuest 2 Beta spot that is being offered to people who purchase the Lords of EverQuest, along with a free month of EverQuest online -- this will definitely entice some to pick up the game if the prices lower on it fast. Had Lords of EverQuest had a few more months of development and not been pushed for the Christmas rush, a lot of these issues could have been fixed and we would have had a fun game on our hands. As it is, though, the game is marginally entertaining and not worth the cost.
