A preview of Divine Divinity (demo released two days ago - story) has been published at Gamespy. Larian Studio's upcoming RPG features superb interactivity and a rich storyline, and could well be one of the upcoming highlights for hardcore RPG fans. Here's a bit from the preview:
The interface takes on a slightly simplified look and feel when compared to Divine Divinity's brethren, but with the heavy emphasis on point and click it all becomes very intuitive to the seasoned Windows user. With movable windows and prevalent drop-down menus it is easy to see that "ease of use" has been one of the underlying priorities for the developing the game's interface. For example, to create a new potion all you need to do is drag some rotting fruit from the ground, drop it into an empty inventory bottle, and a bottle of poison (in this case) is produced. Throwing this potion across the screen will result in the release of a toxic cloud that could come in handy for thwarting the various monsters and enemies that dare stand in your path!
