Loadedinc have reviewed the XBox edition of Ion Storm's 'Thief: Deadly Shadows'. Rating: 8.2/10.
The original Thief presented a huge change in the way first-person games were approached. No longer was the focus on big guns and fast action; Thief was all about sneaky tactics and enemy avoidance. After two successful games in the series and the closing of the original development company, Deadly Shadows has finally been released for the Xbox and PC using the Deus Ex: Invisible War technology. Once again you’ll control Garrett, a master thief in The City, who stumbles upon a new plot involving The Keeper’s prophecies and the role you ultimately play in the coming Darkness. Although the game suffers from a handful of problems, it’s certainly a worthy addition to the Thief series than fans will definitely want to check out.
