Cool beans...as we continue our coverage of the Annual E3 2004 Awards over at GameSpy...it's now time to check out their write-up on Final Fantasy XII (PS2)...

FFXII will be the first game in the series that takes place entirely in 3D. By that, we mean that the level traveling and combat are seamless. For the first time, environments will have meaningful effects on the combat. There are no abrupt transitions into fight sequences; everything fits together smoothly, yet will feel very familiar to Final Fantasy fans.
