I think the last time I recall anything Sherlock Holmes related, in computer game form, was the old text adventure game on the Spectrum 48K! I can't even remember whether it was any good or not, so I guess it couldn't have been! There have been a couple of titles since on the PC platform, but the only one that I vaguely remember is 'The Riddle of the Crown Jewels'. Now Digital Jesters give us 'Sherlock Holmes: The Silver Earring', a completely new story written by an ardent fan of Arthur Conan Doyle's work.
