A second Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel interview has popped up on the net in as many days. This one's at TeamXbox and here's an excerpt:What sort of missions players are going to be faced with during the game?
Chris P: A safe NPC interaction area could take 15 minutes to run-though and explore, but you'll return to that area numerous times to receive new mission objectives, trade equipment, etc. The standard action/adventure type of level in the game can have different objectives - find and kill a particular enemy, assault a fortified location, navigate past hazards, escort an NPC, find an important item, locate and activate a computer console, etc. The player will re-visit some of these areas, too, facing different challenges on different occasions. And a stage boss battle area might take a few minutes or a half hour - depends on whether you're good enough to beat the boss on the first try. In addition to the player's skill level, game play time will depend upon how much exploration players want to do. Players who dig into secret areas and accept different side quests will have a much longer game experience than those who stick with only the main mission objectives. Even after you finish the game, you can play again with unlocked characters or at higher levels of difficulty, importing your experienced player character. |
