There's a new review for Warlords Battlecry III at the Adrenaline Vault. They gave it an overall score of 3.5 stars (out of 5), and here's a bit:
Another unique detail regarding Battlecry III’s heroes is that they’re portable. Your hero that you’ve created in the Campaign mode can also be used in the one-off Skirmish battles against the computer or online in multiplayer matches. Whichever mode you use them in, they continue to gain experience, levels and magical goodies that will benefit them in other game modes. Even if they die in combat, once a new round is begun, they’re right there for you, though they might be lighter by a random magical object that was taken from their inventory as spoils for their defeat. The one exception to this is if you choose the Ironman mode while creating your hero. In this case, death means the same thing to them as it does to you - there’s no coming back.
