GameClubCentral has reviewed 'Star Wars: Galaxies', rating the game at 7 out of 10 points.

Here's a snippet:
Sony markets Galaxies as a MMORPG that is less time-intensive than its life-devouring EverQuest. At first glance their claim seems to hold some weight. There are no character classes or levels for players to attain in the game, which removes the "level-grind" experience from the game play equation. Instead, Sony opted for a skill-based system. Characters grow up skill trees by gaining experience points which in turn allows them to gain proficiency in new skill boxes. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes apparent that this switch has been something of a shell game. Now, instead of spending hours of killing snakes and rats in order to reach the next level, the Galaxies player gets the thrill of spending hour after hour killing Womp Rats and Worts to reach the next "skill box" for their character. If that sounds an awful lot like leveling to you, don't worry, you're not alone.
