Games Domain has slapped up a review of Sony's 'EverQuest'-based PS2 RPG 'Champions: Return to Arms', awarding the game a score of 7/10.We all know that its bad luck to fix what ain't broke, but sometimes it's possible to take the notion a little too far. Sony Online managed to transition their EverQuest universe into a successful offline adventure, thanks to Snowblind and its Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance engine. The result was more Diablo than anything else, albeit packed with creatures and places particular to the EverQuest world of Norrath. For Champions: Return To Arms, the developer has chosen to stick with what works, but sometimes a little risk-taking is what makes the adventure worthwhile. |
