RPG Vault continues its interview with Seed Producer Lars Kroll Kristensen.Jonric: What kind of player economy can we expect to see in Seed? What kind of crafting system are you implementing, and how will the two be connected?
Kroll: The economic system of Seed is a bit unusual. It's a utopian attempt at combining the best qualities of capitalism and democracy, while avoiding the bad sides of both.
People can trade in what we call "Access points" (APs), which is a kind of currency, but they can only do so through democratically elected people. So, person A and B can only exchange APs if either A, B or both have been elected into an administrative position.
Most in-game items, plus all the modules that administrators use to customize their machinery can be crafted. Administrators need these, but do not necessarily need to build them themselves. Crafters need access to administrator-run machines, but do not necessarily need to be administrators themselves. So, crafters and administrators will very likely influence each other heavily, discussing which kinds of modifications the latter should put on their machines, etc. More... | Source: RPG Vault |
