HomeLan Fed has conducted an interview with JC Entertainment's Jason Kim about their MMOLGs Priest:
HomeLAN - The game is being described as a Wild West action-horror-RPG. Is it difficult for the developers to mix genres like that in order for the game to work?

Jason Kim - To be exact, the game is a Wild West Action-Horror, Hard-Gore, MMORPG. There were a few disadvantages when mixing various game genres for Priest but the results are showing to be worth it. Even today our developers are working hard to perfect the game play system that has the beneficial features of both the FPS and MMORPG’s. The design of the game was not so easy as well. The well-known features of FPS games include their ‘tension’, ‘pleasure of destruction’ and ‘action,’ which have the tendency to require high graphics, visual effects, and a ‘solo’ game style. So, we needed an efficient engine, stable networks, and a way to merge the playing styles of both FPS and RPG. The fact that MMORPG and solo play styles are not so friendly with each other was some of the greater difficulties for us.
