No numerical rating given, just a "thumbs up" - and this conclusion: It is an excellent upgrade for Ultima Online’s long time players and an excellent starting point for anyone looking for a solid online role-playing adventure game. So, if you were as put off by the title’s reputation as I was, now would be the time to reject the hype and give Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge a try. If you playing Ultima Online for the first time, however, with the Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge release, I would definitely recommend purchasing a player’s guide. Prima’s Official Strategy Guide retails for $19.99 and will save you hours of experimentation by laying out exactly what you need to do to accomplish your in-game goals.
