If you're buying Trials of Atlantis on its own, then you'll need the Shrouded Isles expansion already – and Dark Age of Camelot, of course. The most immediately obvious difference comes in the form of graphical enhancements; although new players might not appreciate this as much as current players (I myself had stopped noticing the old graphical deficiencies anyway).
