RPG Vault has posted an interview with Reakktor's Michel Feidt who provides us with information regarding the up and coming 'Neocron' expansion 'Beyond Dome of York'.
Jonric: As background, how would you summarize Neocron, the type of online world it is, its key strengths, and the type of player who tends to play it long-term?

Michel Feidt: Neocron is a futuristic cyberpunk MMORPG set in a post-apocalyptic world. It is the end of the third millennium, and after several nuclear wars, the remains of mankind live in three mega-cities. One of those is Neocron and the upcoming Beyond Dome of York (BDOY) expansion will add the second, Dome of York (DOY) to the gameworld.

Neocron is the first MMORPG that offers first-person shooter-like controls and combat instead of the traditional "click-and-wait" combat. This greatly adds to the immersion and excitement factors; most of our players swear they'll never touch an auto-combat MMO again. :)

Another unique aspect is the cyberpunk setting. It offers great opportunities for storytelling and role-playing and generally creates a cool atmosphere.

We actually have all kinds of long-term players - achievers, socializers, role-players - but the biggest group is probably PvPers since that is a big focus point of the game. There are a dozen different factions players can join, and not all of them get along well, so it's not hard to find enemy players to fight.
