-Spanky's Notes
After Hythloth, Wrong and Covetous. I was happy to see that Shame came out easy and crashless. Not once did I crash in Trinsic OR Shame. I do remember editing my OPTIONS.INI file and manually disabling EAX earlier. Maybe that had to do with it.

As I said, Shame was easy... and kinda fun. The puzzles were like a game. Simple, and took only a few moments to figure out. I was in the perfect frame of mind on this one.

Before you jump in, You should have already talked to Dupre.
Without talking to him, you're going to get booted out by the Shrine of Honor at the end of the Dungeon. You must resurrect his ghost because he helps you at the end.

If you can't wait to get to the end of shame, and grab the Glyph and the Chalice, the bottom of this page has a tip that will get you through it really fast!

Shame

The first room with the portcullis is easy, just hit the red switch on the left.

The next room is a bit trickier. You have to point the eyeballs away from the portcullis, stand near the tapestry, turn around, look up. Grab your bow.

Go West Young Man

Taking the West door, where the three colored shields and the eyeball shooting at you. Stand infront of the Blue face on theEast wall. Wait till the eye shoots a Blue ball, then step out of the way. When the bluue ball hits the face. A wall opens up.

Misty Pink

The next room, there is a mist on the ground and a pink sphere moving about. Touch the Suit of Plate on the Northeast wall. A Face target appears. Run over and touch the next suit. The pink sphere shoots blue balls, You need to stand in front of the faces and move when one comes your way.

Shooting Gallery

The face on the left leads to a room with a painting and a purple button and a shooting eye. The button creates another face but this time, the face is moving back and forth horizontally. Guess again, The eye has to shoot the face.

Tip: Face the wall and moving face in parallel, keeping an eye on the face. When you hear a energy ball coming, step out of the way and let it hit the face.

When you succeed, another wall opens. A zombie comes out and a blue button is revealed. The button removes a sheild allowing entry to a room with several statues.

Head back to the room with the pink sphere in the mist, and target the face on the right(or visa versa). The right one gives you access to a number of potions, and a drum. I took the skull just in case.

7 Statues

Head to the room with the 7 colored Statues. On the North wall, there is a green and a purple button. The green one shows you a statue placed near the entrance where you came in. It is above the hall on a platform. The purple one causes the 7 statues to rotate their colors. What you have to do is: As the statues are cycling colors, you have to click on it when it turns black, like the statue in the hallway... remember? When they all are black, the 8th statue appears. Click on it and a chest appears in the center. Grab the 'black globe' out of the chest. You might have to hit "k" on the keyboard to grab it.

Head back to the hallway where you came in and where the statue sits above. Take the East door. Inside there's a forcefield to your right (South). Head North!

Faces of Fire

This circular room has a table with 9 green buttons and a red button. The red button shoots a blue ball towords the East wall. What you have to do is: Hit the red button, before the blue ball hits its first target. You have to hit the corresponding buttons in time to reflect the ball off and bounce to its next target. The order of green buttons to push as the ball bounces around the room is this...

1
6 7 8 9
2 3 4 5

When you hit the last face, a wall opens up to the South.

Teleporting Carpet

The next room is easy. All you have to do is stay off the red sections of the floor. If you don't, you are teleported to the last room in the middle of all those nasty fireballs. When your in, Shoot an arrow to the face switch on the East wall. A setion of floor opens up. Head there! Work your way to the corner and hit the red switch. The switch twists the eye in the middle of the room and in turn, disables the forcefield there. But it's timed. You have to work your way there really fast over the moving read flooring.

17 Paintings

The circular room with 17 paintings, 17 levers and a rotating eye. When you are in the eyes line of sight, the eye opens, and puts the switches back to their OFF position. You have to go around and flip the levers behind the eye. As long as it doesn't see you, the switches will remain ON. When you get them all ON, another wall disappears and reveals another passage in the previous room next to the sword painting.

Upper Chamber

Place the black orb on the pedestal and the floor drops. You have access to a Binding Ritual Circle on the east wall. Hit the blue switch on the column to the west and a floating platform will appear. Hop on the platform.

The floating platform takes you to the large statue near the entrance, above the rest of the chamber. From here you can walk to the other partitions. The statue needs power from the 3 power sources in the upper chamber. You need to have acces to the Red, Blue and Yellow glowing energy sorces, touch them and transfer the energy into the statue.., onw by one.. First, the red one.

Directly west of the large statue, hit the red button on the pedestal where the eye is. Be careful, the eye shoots fireballs. The button removes the forcefield allowing you access to the red glowing energy source. Jump over and walk into it. You will be glowing red. Head back to the statue, touch it and go back to the red one.

Head South from there along the wall, there is a hole in the ground with a bearskin rug. Hit the button inside. It reveals another floating platform East of the large statue. But First, head to the Blue light durectly ahead and transfer the energy to the statue.

From the statue, take the new floating platform across to the yellow energy source. From the yellow one, you will have to drop down near the red floor and walk back up to the uppr chamber. If you get hurt, the energy is released and you will have to get it again.
Touch the statue.

The statue reveals a teleporter.

Glyph Chamber

You appear inside a glass shield in the Glyph chamber, You will be prompted to speak the mantra "summ". The sheild disappears. Hop on the transparent platfrorms to the cave on the North.

You meet up with Blackthorn. He wants the Red and Blue lenses for the Chalice. Do not offer him the lenses, He destroys the Chalice and teleports out. Grab any one of the other Chalices on the ground. Head back out to the Glyph Chamber. You will meet Dupre on the way out.

In the chamber, behind some stalagmites, you will find the Lightning Sword (kills crabs in one hit). Use it on the Wyrmguard. Grab the Glyph and jump on the teleporter to the West side of the cavern. Leave Shame and head to Trinsic.

-Super-icantwaittogetattheendofthisdungeon-tip

"If you want to skip doing the run around in dungeon shame, just get into the first chamber, where the two eyes are one above the other, and they controll the two doors. drop a warhammer, or shepards crook (or levetate) near a wall, then jump up to the next level. probably use a double axe, as they come free to anyone who takes the time out to kill the orcs /w armor."

-Richard McIntyre
