Huo Qubing's Cuirass - Serving under the Chinese Emperor Wu, Huo Qubing was among the greatest generals of his age. Skilled in the arts of war from early childhood, Huo Qubing led the armies of the emperor against the Xiongnu invasion, defeating them at last in an epic battle upon the slopes of Mount Qilian. Some legends speak of Huo’s ceremonial armor granting him certain unnatural powers which would otherwise have been closed to him, but this vaunted armor could not protect him from his eventual death of plague.
