There is an interview wih Feargus Urquhart, President of Interplay’s Black Isle Studios RPG Division, at DTeam. It isn't dealing with a certain game from them, but rather with hames in general and personal thoughts and visions. Here's a bit:
dolo: What inspires you? Where do you get your ideas from?
Feargus Urquhart: This may sound silly, but I really like making Role-Playing games. I play all types of games all of the time, and I really try to see how we can adapt cool features and things from other genres into the games that we make. As for ideas, I probably shouldn't be considered the "idea" guy around here. I mostly focus on how to refine ideas to make them better, and how to make it easier for us to make our games. That may sound boring, but it's intriguing because of the complexity of what we do. I'm always trying to think of ways to make the games more alive without killing us to implement them. |
