This is rather detailed, so you might want to have a look. Here's something about the monsters: The monsters of EQ2 were detailed as anything I've ever seen as well. The first we saw were skeletons, both wearing armor and not wearing armor. The ones not wearing armor were particularly amazing when seen with a torch behind them. The real time dynamic lighting cast real time shadows of all of the polygonal bones including all of the ribcage bones.
