Non combat characters are available - It’s not just about becoming a bounty hunter or adventurer in Star Wars Galaxies. While hard core massively multiplayer gamers will likely not gravitate to the non-combat roles like the entertainer and the merchant, it’s a smart move on Sony Online and LucasArts’ part to provide things for more social gamers to both enjoy chatting with players as well as feel like they will move up in the game without having to go on missions.
