GameSpy has conducted an interview with Turbine's Director of Corporate Communications Jason Wonacott about the company's recent acquisition of the MMP licence for the 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' franchises (story). The recent silence with regards to the incredible-looking massively multiplayer RPG Middle-Earth Online was broken yesterday as a press release from developer Turbine Inc. explained that the fast-growing company had bought exclusive rights to publish the online world. Previously a Vivendi product, Middle-Earth Online is now solely in the hands of Turbine, who worked with Tolkien Enterprises to acquire the exclusive rights to publish online worlds based on The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings novels. |
