The game has a pretty original idea , first person shooter mmorpg and it has a pretty good design the major problem is CONTENT. It doesn't have enough content for a mmorpg, only 4 classes which are not all that different, likr 10-12 guns and 15 armors for each race. They added magic in retail though, but still not many quests and not all were finished, all chars of the same class look almost identical and you don't really have character customisation too much. I liked the tradeskills though which seem pretty well though out compared with other systems. Another thing I didn't like is that all classes are mostly fighters, no group strategies(healing, buffing, crowd control,..), just everyone shooting the monster till it dies. The problem is they have only 3 people (devs), 1 is coding features , 1 is doing the quests, 1 I forgot what. If they would have had more people working on the content part it would have been a great game. Maybe in a few months this will change ...

While the graphics leave quite a bit to be desired, the real time first person shooter aspect reminded me of games like Unreal Tournament. It was a ton of fun to jet pack around capping off rounds from my slick little gun. I've heard a graphics overhaul is in the works, which will be nice, and all in all its a pretty good value compared to other MMO's.

Whoever wrote this review obviously played for 5 minutes then quit, your review is mostly off balance, idiotic, and down right wrong. half your info or more is completely wrong. I would know seeing that im basically a Vet and have been playing for 2 years (BTW about graphics, anyone seen booser yet? and also who cares about graphics, the game is FUN)

Good game play when you can get online. But the lack of content makes it a short play. Then the lack of good customer service. (Double charging monthly fee for accounts and never refunding or crediting account) Never charging account ontime with the billing date. "Say Billing date is 15th of the month." Avaria will pull the funds any where from the 1st of the month all the way up till the end of the month. In some cases they wait till the end of the month then pull again less then 5 days later. EG: Dec 29th 2004 9.95 pulled for DEC's fee. Jan 2nd 2005 9.95 pulled for JAN's Fee. When the billing day is 15th. Then the Game Masters of the game are ultra rude and do nothing other then sit around and chat with the jerks of the game that quest block and generaly make the game miserable. Add on the fact that they are stealing music from contracted musical artists, and never asking for the rights to use or edit the song in there game that they are selling for profit. Also recently the server has been dieing over and over. Constantly needing babysitting and reboots. Since the kingdoms update came out and went live. The game has become so unplayable it is making most of it's player base quit.

Must post here to cut off the incredible mass of false rumors... Avaria will NOT screw anyone, and has never done before. Avaria does NOT steal any music from anywhere. Server of Endless Ages has been fine for several years now, and I must add that's one of the more stable I've ever seen in MMO games (steady ping, pretty low). The fact that the team is three persons only is not a reason to feel pity about them... but rather to be amazed of the quality they made, and the frequency at which updates are released... Still the only *true* MMO-RPG-FPS anyway, I'm still having fun although it's been more than 2 years I play... (a thing that didn't occur for me with EQ, AO, DAoC, WoW... or even Neocron, Planetside...)

at the time of your reiew the game had just been through a series of bad mistakes and error on the developers part. however the game has now pulled itself up and improoved beyond measures, the terrible controll interface you talked about has now been set to the more conventunal WSAD format, however players now have the ability to change the user interface at will. The graphics are now beyond belief and are some of the best iv ever seen in a purely downloaded MMO game. Another massive change has been the server change, the developers have now gone from 2 seperate servers to one large server. The quests have been changed to involve more 'conventional' missions, however there are some that have very good story-lines that leave the game feeling new and refreshing. There is now a 'Tourist' aption where you have the chance to try out the game in a small area know as Rapport Boomtown, this trial has an unlimmited period that leaves players to get fully related to the game and how to find thir way around the stunning new enviroments. There has, in the last couple of months been a drop in paying player because of a rise in bug reports, this is probably because the game has just been taken over by another corperation and that the transfer has created a bit of hastle. There is talk of a period of several months where the game will enter another beta period during a transfer to another server, where all players will be able to enter the rest of the 'citizens' world, free to do all of the quest that, otherwise they would not be able to attempt as a tourist. *******this messsage was posted on 6/6/06*******
